An Introduction & Rant

-An Introduction-
For all those of you who don't know me, my name is Krystyna, and I was fortunate enough to be selected as one of the writers for Big Brother Stardoll. I am rather nervous, as this blog has over one and a half thousand followers, and I'm not really used to writing for this many people. I will be writing about general happenings on Stardoll and basically opinionating myself on such matters, as well as getting your opinions on it! I hope you like my posts!!

-A Rant-
As I sit, endlessly searching through the somewhat hundred and ten million members on Stardoll, I can't help but notice that rather a lot of the people I visit have one of the new "Beach Villas". I've been thinking about getting one, so I thought maybe I could start buying a little bit of furniture to go in it when I get it, so that I don't need to have it locked up while I'm decorating it. When I go to do this, I see a small little pad-lock icon in the bottom corner of each of the "Golden Sands" décor items.

Really, Stardoll, really?
Wow.

You're banning us from buying furniture if we don't own a certain suite extension.
This is like the Superstar / Non-Superstar bias.
You need to be a Superstar to be able to buy Beach Villa in the first place, but unless you spend your entire monthly allowance on it, you aren't able to buy any of the furniture for it.
My next question is, with what? It either needs to be practically empty until you get your next allowance, or you need to buy more Stardollars.

Clever, Stardoll. Irritating, but clever.

All in all, nothing has changed. Stardoll is trying to get us to upgrade ourselves, and we are going to. I can't complain, though. I really want to upgrade now just so that I can get Beach Villa.\

Thoughts?

xx
Krystyna
