Advice with Audrey

Advice with Audrey:

Question:
Hey , first thank you a lot for making this helpful column .
my problem is that I have 3 best friends in my new school all are more independent   than me and smarter which makes me feel naive and dumb and sometimes I feel like THEY are tricking me for example one of them is like bossing me around and all and I can't just find the rights words to say back to her.... I'm becoming more like them everyday and that's what I want. but they're still smarter than me we're close and all but sometimes like we really aren't ..I'm so mixed up in this....even most of the girls in my new school have a mature good rational political mentality and all and I'm still a kid  ( it's important in where I live about the whole politics and stuff)...
and thank you again for reading this”

My answer:

Oh you’re completely welcome! First things first, you’re not naïve as you’re showing a clear understanding of what is going on meaning you aren’t as innocent as everyone is making you out to be. You’re not a dumb person, some people progress faster than others in life and school but the reality is that you should do things at your own pace not at a pace that a select group of people are going at. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being different from others because your maturity level hasn’t reached a certain peak yet, in fact you’ll be glad you didn’t grow up so soon when you get to be my age. From my perspective you seem to feel like these girls are your friends but you can’t relate to them to a certain level because you feel that their intelligence is higher, which I honestly do not think is true considering everyone is equal in intelligence but people progress at different rates. My advice is stay friends with them but don’t let them boss you around, as you say. You need to stick up for yourself by saying something like “I’d really appreciate if you didn’t tell me what to do because I can think for myself. I understand that we are friends but I’m my own independent person and since we are friends I’d like it if you’d let me make my own decisions even though I do appreciate your imput.”. This will help them realize that you can think for yourself and it will help establish you as your own person. New schools can be tough, but you need to keep your head held high and try not to compare yourself so much to others. You’re a unique person and you shouldn’t be down on yourself for being one, in fact it’s what makes you special and someone who is worth while.
-Audrey

Question:
“How do I stop feeling like I am a waste in this world and how do I feel like I am useful in this world.”

My answer:

No one is a waste in the world, in fact everyone has something they can offer. Everyone who is born has a purpose, but that purpose may not always be clear to them when they are young, in fact it takes years to figure out who you are and what you want to believe in. You’re a young person, you really shouldn’t be so hard on yourself because you are useful in this world. Think of your friends, your family, the things you’re good at and what you’ve done successfully, those are all proof that you are needed, wanted and useful in this world. Even though you haven’t found what makes you tick yet it that doesn’t mean you’re a waste of this world; it took me sixteen years to have a general idea of what I wanted to do with my life and what my purpose was, it’ll take time to find yours. What I would recommend doing is just trying out new things as you are fairly young in age and you’ll find something that gives you a joy. What gives me joy is helping out others, art and mathematics as for you it’ll obviously be different. Explore things to keep yourself preoccupied and when you find something you’re amazing at you won’t feel like you’re a waste; because the truth is you aren’t and never will be… all these feelings are a matter of growing up and everyone feels them at some point but you will never ever be a waste no matter what.
-Audrey

Question:
I'm 12 and I masturbate alot.
I'm serious, what should I do?

Ahh, my wird verification was diknion.”

My answer:
I’m pretty sure you’re trolling and if you aren’t there is only one thing I can tell you; Go see a doctor. That can become an addiction and you’re way too young to be dealing with that right now.

Question:
What would you do if your friends betray you dearest”

Answer:
That’s a tough thing to deal with but unfortunately it happens to everyone, in fact I’ve had quite a bit of experience with this. People make mistakes all the time, in fact it’s in our nature meaning at some point in your life you will be betrayed by someone including someone who you love and care about. People are bound to make mistakes, you and I are included in this equation. Let me give you a little real life example that happened to me and after I’ll point out what I think you can do.
When I was seventeen (which was just year and a half ago) I had to deal with this similar situation. My friend Danica suddenly turned on me and decided to drag every other person I was friends with against me. It hurt for a long time and I pretty much became a loner blaming myself for what was being done to me. Eventually I lifted my head up high and made new friends that were there for me and still are to this day.
Just because you lose a friend doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world; you can always make new friends. My whole theory is that if someone that you love lets you free and doesn’t come back to apologize they weren’t worth it in the first place. People are always going to be like that but you just have to find someone who is worth everything even a few fights over the time that you’re friends.
Keep your held high and people will be more attracted to you friendwise and you’ll be able to find someone that’s a real friend.
P.s.
If someone was making you unhappy chances are that they weren’t that good of a friend anyway.
-Audrey

Question: “I am a young boy and I have been thinking recently am I gay because I often thin I am but I like girls too, I think I am bisexual but I am scared to come out any advice ?

Answer: That’s a tough situation, I know because I’m pansexual. When I was around twelve I began questioning my preferences towards people because I noticed unlike most others my age I didn’t really have a barrier as to who I liked in fact to this day I don’t discriminate.
Being young and trying to figure out who you are is a tough thing but there are for sure things that you can do to make it easier on yourself like for example answer these questions;

1.    Why am I attracted to males and females?
2.    Am I too young to actually really have a preference one way or the other?
3.    Am I doing this because I think it’s cool?
4.    Is there something else making me feel this way other than my own emotions?
5.    Is someone I look up to doing this?

It’s hard to be young and having to deal with this but then again everyone has to deal with things like this when they’re young. Think about the questions and eventually you’ll be able to figure out what’s going on with you without having other people tell you their own opinion on what they think you’re all about.
If you come to realize you’re bisexual or gay I’ll give you advice on how to come clean to your parents and peers because I had to do it at one point but please be certain first as this is something you will be labeled with for life.

That’s it!
How did I do for my first advice column?
As always if you need any advice you can email me at advicewithaudrey@yahoo.com
Or post anonymously in the comments section.
I will keep your identity private as you can tell by the above questions.
Thanks guys and enjoy!

MSW Finalists

Hello Again!

I am back again to come spreading the word! Word of what you may say? Well, the MSW Finalists, Silly :)

Yes, today the remaining contestants in the Miss Stardoll World competition (pr pageant, I am not sure what it is classified as) we announce. We now have until October 14th to vote for who we think deserves that crown!

What do you think?

Pink for October

Hello Ladies and Gents!

Who remembers a few years ago when Stardoll released the Pink for October clothing campaign? It was a small collection but it was to help support Breast Cancer Awareness.

Now, I feel very passionately about cancer. My father died from Lung Cancer and Breast Cancer runs in my family. I am an active supporter of doing whatever I can to find a cure and I believe everyone should do it too. Just a small ounce of support can go a long way.

Anyways, back to my point, it has been a few years since Stardoll did any "Pink for October" campaign but this year, it's back. Haha, yes, Stardoll combines two of it's favorite things, calenders and causes. What do I mean?

Nothing is available yet but I am sure it will be soon.

What are you thoughts on this? Do you think it is good what Stardoll is doing?

Plastic (Not Always) Fantastic!

Hello darlings! <---- Cheesy D;
The feedback on my post about Marie Antoinette was overwhelming! I loved it, it really made me want to write more! I haven't felt this good about blogging in MONTHS! And I have YOU to thank! Keep the feedback coming :D
-
I want to talk to you about plastic surgery.
I want plastic surgery, or, I wantED plastic surgery...
I know someone who have had her nose and boobs done and she told me that the anesthesia hurt more that the actual surgery...
That tells me that it is not a very good idea, especially since I hate pain!! I like comfort *Flutters eyelashes*

Of course, I would like to look better, but beauty is going to come to me when I lose some weight! Just look at Jennifer Hudson! She is gorgeous! She was gorgeous before she lost her 'baby fat', but now she is simply glowing! She is HAPPY! And that is the most important thing in life! HAPPINESS makes the world go round!

Happiness brings me to the next person I want to mention for you!
Jocelyn Wildenstein AKA Bride of Wildenstein AKA Catwoman

This woman has spent over $4000000 on plastic surgery to please her husband's obsessions with tigers and lions!
The things we humans do for love. People kill for love, steal for love, while this woman went under the knife for love... Well, some may say that she let the knife rape her face...

Anyway, Jocelyn seems to be very happy with her appearance now that she has finally found the face that suits her best! (She has had many faces)
-
I would like to tell you about another man who has gone under the knife to find his 'perfect' face.

Pete Burns Arrivals for Vivienne Westwood's Autumn/ Winter 2011 fashion show during London Fashion Week.
Pete Burns (Famous for the 80's hit pop song 'You Spin Me Right Round' with his band Dead Or Alive)

Original from the 80's

2003 Official Remix

I know for a fact that Pete is happy with his appearance! He only went under the knife for his own pleasure! He is a very public man and has been in countless interviews talking about his surgeries!

Bottom line is that you should be happy in the skin you are born in, if you go the wrong way, things can get really sad.

Leave me a comment, good or bad, they are all welcome! Start a friendly (or not) debate in the comments too if you like, I always comment back! :)

Would you like to know more about Pete or Jocelyn? Tell me, and I can make posts about them the next time!

Much love, Selena <3

Museum Mile

Hello Everyone!

So as I was browsing through Stardoll I saw they released a new store. So, I went and checked, and might I say, I fell in love.

Look for yourself.....

There are clothes too but the do not show. The pieces of art are limited so buy what you want fast!

Never ever, ever have I loved Stardoll more! I have always had a passion for history then my sister introduced me to a whole new side of it. Art. I have looked through all different types of art and developed favorites. Art really helps deepen the appreciation for the time and area you are studying. Stardoll just stole my heart with this store. If I could, I would buy EVERYTHING in it. I guess I just have to settle for every dress and one piece of art :)

What do you think of it though?
Sara♥♥

Update!: The clothes are available! Each piece is inspired about outfits in the paintings so to get them, you must click on the outfits in the paintings. Really, this is quit smart on Stardoll's part.

Writer of the Week! Winner

Wow we didn't get that many votes on the poll but that's does not matter :)

The winner is..............

Congrats Sara! Another win! Please contact princesslicha to receive your prize!

Elite

Hello my Lovelies!!

So, as you may have noticed by the title, I am not going to be posting about some new feature or release on Stardoll (if you are wondering why, it's because there is nothing new for me to post about). No, instead I am going to be writing about something that actually makes up the majority of the "Stardoll Society". What is that?

Elites

Yes, everyone knows about that word and what it means when it is in reference to Stardoll. It is a title users gain when they have become recognized for one thing or another. Maybe they have a fantastic suite or amazing outfits. Perhaps they create beautiful designs or elaborate albums and sceneries. Maybe they are the owner of a great blog or fashion line or magazine. Or, and this seems to be the most common, I person "earns" their fame by talking to the right people, having the right friends, and being on the right lists. Sadly, that is how MANY of Stardoll's current Elites have gotten that much sought after title.

Let's look at why so many members of Stardoll want this title so badly. Along with this title is the satisfaction of knowing people admire you for one reason or another. People look at your little corner on Stardoll that is just a bit brighter then everyone else's and they say, "I want to be like them!" Sadly, along with that recogniztion is drama, haters, and yes, more drama. Some people thrive on that. They thrive on all the comments and attention no matter now terrible and mean they are. And in the end, we as readers thrive on the gossip that results. They stage stunts such as "leaving" Stardoll. They make it look believable and write a huge and detailed Good-Bye message and we read it and lap up every bit we can. Why? Simple! Because of who they are!

Thankfully though, there are some members of that class that aren't best described as fame whores. No, they are the ones that have climbed to the top the good old fashioned way and earned their status. They have spectacular suite, exceptional MeDolls, and really uphold the true meaning of Elite. You can usually tell these ones by their kind attitudes or the fact that they don't believe that they are in that oh-so-desired class of excellence. These are the ones that truly deserve to be up there. Who are they? You can tell just by looking around. Reading their presentations. Seeing how they react with people. They are the ones that really deserve this recognition. Unfortunately, more of the Elite class is being overrun by the now well known term "fame whores".

A little while ago, many of Stardoll's Elites left behind their virtual lives. Many said that the reason they were leaving was because they saw what they had turned into. They saw how vain, shallow, and rude they had become over some popularity on a virtual website. They said, the best way for them to return to themselves was for them to totally leave behind Stardoll. Expel it from their lives. Well, I got a little something to say to you Hunny. It's not the websites fault that you let a little virtual fame go to your head. Yes, I was getting sick and tired of hearing all of these people make excuses so they could feel a little bit better about themselves. What do I mean? These girls let fame on a website go to their head and let it effect them as a person and then, after they realized what happened, were ashamed of the fact and in an effort to make themselves feel better, they blame it on the website. Now yes, maybe this is a bit harsh and it doesn't apply to all the people that left Stardoll. But really, is that deserving of the title and status of Elite-ism? Only you can answer that.

Bullying.

I introduced myself a few days ago as the new writer on this blog and told you what I was going to be doing on Big Brother Stardoll. I think almost all of you know at this point that I'm going to be running a weekly advice column where all of you can ask me anything... I thought I'd break the ice by asking if you've ever been bullied or have you ever been a bully?

Being bullied isn't something you should blame yourself for, be embarrassed to talk about nor try to ignore. I myself have both been a bully and been bullied which is why I won't judge any of you that say you've been a bully; I think, in all honesty, that everyone has been a bully at some point. We're all human and no ones perfect but we can try to better ourselves by learning from others; I most certainly have.

I was bullied in highschool up until towards the end of my highschool experience. Some of you may know that I have heterochromia which causes my eyes to be two different colors as I've incorporated it into my medoll. I'm obviously extremely proud of this fact, embrace it and am the face of AislinVictory's 2011 beauty week for this fact but there was a time where I wasn't proud of it.

In high school  I went to a school that wasn't very diverse. It was small, full of rich kids and no one was exactly different. My heterochromia sparked an interest in people as did my height and weight, i'm right in between 5'2 and 53 weighing only 103 pounds. These simple things about me that were different didn't exactly spark the type of interest I would have hoped that they had, in fact they made me a target. I was named called, harassed, had little friends and had a trick played on me that really effected who I am today. When I was a sophomore in High School this girl, let's call her Victoria for privacy sake, made a fake account online to talk to me. Victoria used pictures of a boy I liked who went to a different school and even used his name. She added me on all the social networking sites I had at the time and constantly flirt with me, shower me with compliments and tell me all sorts of sweet things.

Victoria eventually got bored with the fact she wasn't really getting anything from me to use against me so she started adding my friends from other schools, turning them against me and eventually told me to do all sorts of vicious things to myself. Victoria however made a fatal mistake when she added some of the boys friends she was pretending to be. Later on that night I got a phone call while I had been crying my eyes out from the boy she was pretending to be. He confirmed that it had not been him that had done it and after a bit of investigating I found out who was behind it. I promptly told the office about it and Victoria was suspended for a few days, when she came back to school she dropped all the classes she had with me and bumped into me in the hallways not saying anything.

My highschool experience eventually got better as kids who hurt me transferred and new kids started attending my school who were accepting but it's something I couldn't block out. I'm not a fully innocent person when it comes to bullying, in fact I singled out a girl in eighth grade because she looked up to me.

In eighth grade there with this girl Hannah who was unusual. She was shy, rarely talked and was a year younger than everyone else because she had gotten bumped up a grade for being intelligent. Hannah always complimented my style and eventually she started copying it. Hannah would do her hair the same way as me, wear the same clothes or similar clothes that I did and even bought the same cotton candy perfume I wore. My friends noticed this fact and began to harass her, belittle her, call her things like copycat and tried to convince me to do it too. I was at first reluctant to do it but my friend convinced me to try it, so I did and for whatever reason it gave me a sort of high and mighty feeling.

I singled out Hannah for weeks and weeks until one day she caught me in the girls bathroom alone and confronted me. "Why are you so mean to me?" She said teary eyed; Hannah had been crying in a stall when I came in. Hannahs question had caught me off guard, in fact I didn't have an answer.. here was this nice girl who looked up to me whos life I was making a living hell for it. I apologized to Hannah every day from that point and eventually we formed a friendship, in fact she's one of my best friends today. I still to this day can't answer why I was mean to her, why I blocked out feeling guilty and why it gave me such a powerful feeling but I know that it changed my perspective on being a bully to the point where I to this day try to stray away from it.

I want to hear the experiences of the viewers of this blog, I want to know if you're a bully, have been bullied or are both. If you don't feel comfortable posting with your blogger account leave an anonymous comment, I promise no one will think any less of you for it. If you have the courage to post on your blogger account just know that I won't judge you because I've both been a bully and been bullied. If you're being bullied please know that you're not alone and know that my guestbook, friend requests, dollmail and email is always open to people who just need someone to talk too. If you're a bully keep in mind that i'm not going to think any less of you for it, judge you or be angry with you. We're all human and none of us, no matter how hard we try, are not going to make bad decisions myself included.

I'm really interested in hearing your thoughts, experiences and what you think about this issue as a whole so please comment as I do read them plus I do care quite a bit.

Love,
Audrey

An Interesting Theme For a Post (?)

Hola bonita! :P

I am so glad you all liked my last 'Wonderful Autumn' makeup tutorial! I am so glad for and really appreciate all the wonderful feedback! I must say, I really love the BBS audience and commenters! You guys are REAL and NICE people!

Today I want to talk about one of my many icons!

Marie Antoinette

She was the woman to start what we all came to love and know! FASHION! She was the woman to add all the bells and wissels, the gaga hair pieces and the ultimate STYLE!

Only downfall with these head pieces is that they had them on for weeks at a time and got mold infections in their hair as they didn't wash. And sometimes even rats! And, they couldn't sleep lying!
My conclusion is that it looks incredible but is VERY unpractical.

But I digress!

I would like to tell you about her execution.
-
She was accused of: ''Orchestrating orgies in Versailles, sending millions of livres of treasury money to Austria, plotting to kill the Duke of Orléans, incest with her son, declaring her son to be the new king of France and orchestrating the massacre of the Swiss Guards in 1792.'' + More. ''(most, if not all, of the accusations were untrue and probably lifted from rumours begun by libelles)''

I found this very interesting to read as it is a quote from Marie herself at the end:
''The most infamous charge was that she sexually abused her son. This was according to Louis Charles, who, through his coaching by Hébert and his guardian, accused his mother. After being reminded that she had not answered the charge of incest, Marie Antoinette protested emotionally to the accusation, and the women present in the courtroom – the market women who had stormed the palace for her entrails in 1789 – ironically began to support her. She had been composed throughout the trial until this accusation was made, to which she finally answered, "If I have not replied it is because Nature itself refuses to respond to such a charge laid against a mother."''
-
''she was declared guilty of treason in the early morning of 16 October, after two days of proceedings.''

And this is why Marie Antoinette was killed.
And let me add in, I am glad the system has changed.

If you like, you can go to my suite and look at my little tribute to her!
PS: I am not mocking her death/life with my tribute, I am honoring her, in my own way! I find it symbolic and beautiful.

Next time you might see an 'Au Natural' makeup tutorial in Marie Antoinette's honor!

Much Love from me and I hope I didn't bore you to death! Haha. (No pun intended)

Are you ready?? Even more competitions coming your way!

As school started, I realized it will be a difficult year and I also have some other activities and unfortunately, I'm not allowed to surf the net, so that means I can't log into stardoll.

And this is where I say that I'm leaving. I'm really really sorry, I don't want to leave, I LOVE this blog and I hope that if I'll be back, I would still be able to write here.

Thank you for all  your love or hate,

Inspired

Hello Lovelies, it;s that time of week again! That's right, it's time to be inspired!

This week, I am going to be posting about a user that is rather talented in suite designing. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you.....

Kellyhi!

Now when I saw this young ladies suite I fell in love with it! It is beyond detailed, very realistic, and just down right classy!

I also fell in LOVE with her outfit! Fantastic right? It flows smoothly with the class and elegance that comes flowing from the suite. Her outfit is not only classy but so feminine and modern!

I soon clicked on her album, and again I loved it. It was so coordinated and organized. Here were a few of my favorite pages.

Adorable right? I loved all of it!

All in all, I think a word to describe her is elegance. Simple, classy elegance. Would you like to add more to that or did I pretty much sum it all up?

What are your thoughts? Were you inspired?

Click HERE to visit Kellyhi's suite.
Click HERE to visit Kellyhi's album.
Click HERE to email me or HERE to write in my Guest Book if you have any recommendations for the next "Inspired".

I also want to say welcome to Audreyxbeth, one of the newest writers to join the BBS family!

Sara♥♥

hello...

Audreyxbeth here!

I'm the new writer for this blog and to be completely honest I'm in complete awe that I got hired here. Big Brother Stardoll was my dream blog to write for and getting the opportunity to write for this blog just has left me with my jaw dropping down the floor; I honestly can't believe how far I've come in the stardoll career of blogging. I've watched this blog grow, admired it, cried when Lolita left and dreamed about writing for it. I was informed by a dear friend of mine that this blog was hiring, she knew that this blog was one of the ones I wanted to write for so on a whim I applied at this fabulous blog with the hope that I'd get in. Two days ago I was completely shocked when I got hired and I'm obviously extremely nervous as I'm writing this introduction. A lot of you may recognize me from blogs like Beg for More and The Stardoll Hour but for those of you that don't know who I am let me introduce myself.

My name is Audrey and my user name is audreyxbeth. I've been on stardoll since 2006 with audreyxbeth being my main and youngest account. I'm eighteen years of age, Croatian in heritage and attending college in California in the Country of the Untied States of America. I'm a sweet person with extremely caring tendencies and I have a little bit of an off beat sense of fashion. I want the readers of this blog to know that if they ever need help with anything that they can always ask me, which brings me to my topic.

As I am one of the older members on stardoll age wise I've had quite a bit of life experience. I've overcome being tormented in High School, moving here to the US from a formerly war torn country, have taught myself over three languages, worked hard to overcome my dyscalculia and have had to deal with a variety of things. Seeing as i've had quite a lot of experiences with different aspects of life, along with my kind nature, I will be running a weekly advice column that will have questions submitted by you, the viewers of this blog. I will give concrete answers, offer words of support and listen. I feel as if there are so many people on stardoll that are in need of advice but there seems to be no place to get it. My goal is that my advice column will help people who need it along with helping those who might be having the same issues, if I help even one person I will feel like i'm on top of the world.

If you need advice with anything feel free to email me at advicewithaudrey@yahoo.com. I will be posting the advice column every Friday and will create fake names for the advice askers to protect privacy.

Sincerely,
Audrey

Ooo Lala! Roses

So sorry I haven't post any new DIY project in a while =[
OMG we have 1800 followers!! Whoo hoo!!! xD

Ok now here is what we will be a making
The flower not the necklace ;D

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

1. Sewing Machine (It will be hard to sew by hand but you can try)

2. Scissors

3. Fabric

4. Safty pin

Step-by-step

Step 1. Find a long piece of fabric about 4x19in

Step 2. Cut 4-6 3x3in circles from the fabric if you want your flower bigger than cut more circles

Step 3. Grab 2 of your circles and put them on top of each other as shown above

Step 4 Grab both of the circles and pintch the middel making a flower.

Step 5 Grab the bottom of the flower you just made (try not to undo the flower) sew the very bottom tip. Try not to sew too high or your flower will become flat & we don't want that

Step 6 grab another circle (only 1) and pintch it to make a flower then repeat step 5

Step 7 You should now have 2 flowers

Step 8 Grab your two flowers and sew them together.

Step 9 Your flower should look thicker like the pic above :)

Now if you are not please with the thickness of your flower you can repeat the steps till your satified with your flower :D

Once your done safty pin the back & pin it anywhere xD YAY!!
